ALFA M12 - "TURNER"
This magnificent and impactful work finds its inspiration in the famous “Trees Beside A River” series of sketches and paintings by Joseph Mallord William Turner ca. the early 1800’s.
In realizing our own unique vision of this subject matter, we first shaped a lustrously patterned base into an unusual and intriguing pentagon. We then split the wood along it’s narrowest point so the “river” of blue resin could be run through its entire length.
Next was the hand carving of the contours and features of the surrounding river banks and the small island bearing the tree’s roots. The tree selected to further realize our vision was one that is especially windswept, strong, and yet elegant. The final element to be added, of course, is your parrot. Fini!
